Hotels and Restaurants: There are many hotels and restaurants in the ancient city.  Interestingly, after the civil disturbances of the Modakeke/Ife imbroglio, new and modern motels started springing up. Prominent among these motels and hotels are Mayfair Motels, and Hilton Hotels along Universal College of Technology Road, Celebration and Oasis Hotels at Eleyele area and host of others., Diganga hotels along Ibadan Road, Benediction Hotels, Ife City College area, Apart from these motels, there are numerous local and standard restaurants where you can enjoy the delicacy of the African man. Prominent foods served at the local resturarant include iyan, funfu, eba, amala (oka in Ife dialect) rice, dodo, beans etc.  When you get to the Sabo area of the town (this is where predominantly settled the people from the northern part of Nigeria) you can enjoy the northern delicacy like tuwo, bread and tea with eggs, suya and host of others.
